It starts in Moline in 1935, when eight John Deere Harvester Works employees decided to turn their backs on big banks and start a credit union of their own.  

 

Nearly 90 years later, the institution they started now has locations across Iowa and Illinois and more than 50,000 members across the country. And we have a lot more to offer beyond banking. 

 

Our focus has always been investing our money back into the communities where we work and live. Today, that’s not just offering great rates on savings accounts and loans. It’s building financing platforms that make it possible for small business owners to offer nearly instant credit to their customers without taking on additional risk or investment. It’s investing in local cultural institutions and community organizations.   

 

And, yes, it’s bringing full-service digital banking to even more communities disguised as the newest place in town to get a delicious treat.
